JASPER DŽUKI JELEN
Jasper Džuki Jelen (NL/SI) studied dance at Codarts. As a dancer he worked for more than 10 years intensively with Erik Kaiel and his company Arch8. Besides he was researching and creating his own work in Dansateliers, DCJ Brussels, Korzo, Holland Dance and taught at the academies in Holland and Belgium (Codarts, Artesis, Fontys, AHK/5 o’clock class). His work arises from a fascination with the complex relationships between people and how they physically manifest. This interest is often a reason to abandon the traditional theater format and redefine the relationship between the performers and the audience.
MOJRA VOGELNIK šKERLJ
Mojra Vogelnik Škerlj (SI) studied architecture and parallel developed to an unconventional dancer through capoeira training, research classes/workshops on improvisation and partnering (including J.Hamilton, Nancy S.Smith, D.Zambrano). Architecture plays an important role within her work, as does the relationship between audience and performer. Currently she is focusing on the physical dynamics within gender roles and the (un)conventional situations that arise when they are manipulated. Within this context she examines how dance, improvisation and ‘LARP’ (live action role play) contribute to a stronger overall experience of a performance.
