Martí Aparici Quiñones

Stagiaire/understudy dance
Martí is a Catalan performer and choreographer with a mixed artistic background of classical trumpet, circus, theatre and dance. Upon joining the Dance Academy of Fontys Academy of the Arts in 2022 he also bega making his own work. Two solos – Something to hold on to and Please take me seriously – are a mix of theatre, dance and juggling and laid the foundation of his choreographic interestTwo years further while finishing his studies, he is expanding his artistic practice through a series of works in which he explores the struggle of being confronted with unavoidable pain. Parallel to this process he is accumulating experiences and studying other makers at work through performing for a variety of companies, among them The100Hands.
The space between fiction and reality as well as with placement of the audience in the middle of the action in order to let them feel the sensitivity of the performing body, are layers where his fascinations meet the core of the work The100Hands. His lightness and endlessly creative use of combined elements of physicality, clown and theatre makes him an exquisite and delightful performer to experience.
