WELCOME TO OUR TEMPORARY WEBSITE, OUR NEW ONE WILL BE UP AND RUNNING MID 2018 !!

TRANSFORMERS – DOX / The100Hands are working hard on this special atelier project. Transformers is a physical play with feminine- and masculine stereotypes. Against the background of an urban inner city a group of youngsters engage in acrobatic partnering, intimate theatrical situations and flash mob strategies. While dynamically assuming daily postures, expressions and gestures known as feminine or masculine, their entwined bodies raise questions about the (limited) freedom one has to phyiscally express yourself within the city, within a group and within oneself. See agenda for dates and times.

NON-STOP PROJECT – In an ongoing project we investigate the partnering method of The100Hands and the (im)possibilities of sustainable production methods (pssst, we are building some really nice stuff..). You can expect announcements for open workspaces, interactive test sessions, presentations and special pop-ups to appear in Spring 2018 on our website and social media.

25Feet and In the Midst of Everything
The100Hands is founded by Jasper Džuki Jelen (NL/SI) and Mojra Vogelnik Škerlj (SI) as a place to explore physical collaboration and interaction. The synergy of backgrounds in contemporary dance, martial arts and architecture has led to works that strongly relate to the performance space, context and everyone present in it. The movement vocabulary of this duo sources from partnering and martial arts and is motivated by an ongoing investigation of social, physical behavior and the interactive potential of an audience gathering during a performance. This positive, human and physical approach to dance speaks to a wide audience of all ages.
Stichting The100Hands is based in Breda (NL). The100Hands present and co-produce with partners in The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark and Egypt.
The100Hands are supported by PLAN – nieuwe makers – theater, dans en circus.
