A theatrical mini-vacation right in your neighborhood

They aren’t listed in the ANWB Camping Guide 2021. Nor are they advertised in the English magazine Bushcraft & Survival Skills. But in terms of adventure, the Breda-based theater/dance company The100Hands surpasses many a camper’s dream. As part of Afzender Boulevard, The100Hands was asked in the summer 2021 to create a special “corona-proof” experience. The result: TENT&, a theatrical mini-vacation, right in your own neighborhood.

In 2022, a summer later, we saw a light at the end of the tunnel, but TENT& is still just as relevant. Whether you’ve spent a lot of time alone over the past year, had screaming kids (or parents) around you constantly, worked yourself to the bone in an ICU, stared blankly at endless Zoom meetings, or weren’t able to hang out with your friends in that little tent on vacation or at a festival…

We’ve all experienced what the presence of others means to us. Now that things seem to be getting back on track, TENT& offers a space to reflect on your experience of connection and touch. Because: how can we experience touch without touching one another?

TENT& is a moment for yourself, with yourself, but not alone. Come by and let your little tent take you on a journey. Here and now, yet away for a moment.

The pop-up mini-campsite was set-up near the Chassé Theatre, in Hoge Vucht, the Wolfslaar Estate, by BUas and De Rooi Pannen.
