Personal data that we process
Stichting The100Hands processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us directly. Below is an overview of the data we process:
- First and last name (newsletter subscribers and contractors)
- Gender (contractors)
- Date of birth (contractors)
- Place of birth (contractors)
- Address details (contractors)
- Phone number (contractors)
- Email address (newsletter subscribers and contractors)

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process
Stichting The100Hands processes the following special and/or sensitive personal data:
- Citizen Service Number (BSN)
- Race
We retain a copy of a valid ID from our contractors and board members. They are free to redact their photo and BSN number. Redacting helps to prevent the aforementioned 'special and/or sensitive personal data' from being traceable through the stored ID documents. In scene photos, race remains visible.
Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data
Stichting The100Hands processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- Handling your payment (contractors)
- Sending our newsletter
- To call or email you if necessary to carry out our services
- Stichting The100Hands also processes personal data if we are legally obligated to do so, such as data required for our tax filings.
Automated decision-making
Stichting The100Hands does not make decisions based on automated processing that could have significant consequences for individuals. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems without human involvement. Stichting The100Hands uses the following computer programs or systems:
- Gsuite Gmail: for email correspondence with contractors and partners
- Mailerlite: for sending newsletters to those who have subscribed and provided consent for us to store their email address
- Google Drive: for internal document communication
- Ucraft: for hosting our website and collecting login information (name, email address, and password) for the online environment of our digital performances
- Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Vimeo / YouTube: for public announcements (text, image, and video) related to the activities and vision of Stichting The100Hands, including but not limited to: announcements of public events, project credits (name and roles), reviews, trailers, scene photos, background articles, and various short news items in image and sound, both digitally and in print. Contractors may be recognizably depicted in these media. Agreements with contractors specify the extent and manner of their depiction. Stichting The100Hands ensures that visitors to all events are informed in advance about the image and/or sound recording of those events, as long as these recordings are conducted directly by a contractor of Stichting The100Hands. Visitors can indicate at any time (before, during, and after recordings) that they do not wish to be recognizable in the public materials of Stichting The100Hands. This also applies to recordings made by third parties, but only for the part that Stichting The100Hands directly uses in its materials and/or on platforms managed by Stichting The100Hands. Requests, questions, and complaints about visibility in public communications of Stichting The100Hands can be directed to info[at]the100hands.com.
How long we retain personal data
Stichting The100Hands does not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data was collected. We apply the following retention periods for the following categories of personal data:
- Name, address, and contact details of contractors are retained for the duration of the working relationship and up to 7 years afterward due to administrative retention obligations.
- Name and email addresses of newsletter subscribers are retained as long as they don’t unsubscribe themselves.
- Scene photos (in which contractors are visible) are retained as long as publicity for the specific performance is relevant.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Stichting The100Hands does not sell your data to third parties and only provides this data if it is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We sign a data processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Stichting The100Hands remains responsible for these processing activities.

Stichting The100Hands uses technical and functional cookies, as well as analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you first visit our website (https://the100hands.com). You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, or transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data, to info[at]the100hands.com. To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask that you send a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, please black out your photo, MRZ (machine-readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) to protect your privacy. We will respond as quickly as possible, but within four weeks. Stichting The100Hands also wants to inform you that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
